Through the classes, I got an interest for computer and I would like to learn more about it, for example editing pictures, movies, and music. I would like to edit pictures that I took, edit music and make my own best music, and edit movies and make funny one like YouTube!!! And also I want to learn how to use Excel.

viral video

Viral Video is a commercial message which is limited only on the internet. Its name is from virus, and it spreads rapidly as virus. It began from the United Kingdom, and then spread all over the world. You can send the video by e-mail, and attach and exhibit on your homepage and/or blog freely. Its remarkable difference from the commercials that are televised on TV is it does not have any regulation on the Internet, so there are many sexual, excessive, and aggressive ones. You can find many videos on YouTube—this is the most famous and popular site and I think everyone use this!! Another good web site for virus video I found is viralx.comand ifilm These site will show you a lot of funny videos!! Please check it and find your favorite one!!!

Computer Gifts for My Friend & Family

If I present something related to computer to my friend or my family, I would like to choose a set of web-camera and microphone. Do you know skype? I am sure that we talked to Mr. Poza's father with skype in our computer class before. I use it to call my friend and boyfriend everyday. Skype is very useful software which you can download freely from internet. If you have internet connection, you can call your friend or family anytime as long as you want. It is indefinite and free!!! Also, its quality of sound is very clear(better than Ya☆oo messenger or M☆N). Moreover, you can enjoy video calling and chat service. Therefore, if my friend/ family and I heve the web-camera and microphone, we are able to have conversation with face to face. I really like it and I want everybody to know and use it!! You can download skype from here.

Putative "Net Neutrality"

What is "Net Neutrality?" I have never heard this word, but it appears that became news in June last year, because an bill which concerning about it was introduced in America. Net Neutrality is "a guiding principle of the Internet which ensures that all users are entitled to access content and services or run applications and devices of their choice." (from Free Press) It is also call "net neutrality", "internet neutrality" or "NN." This action was backed by the major IT companies such as Google, Amazon.com, Ebay, and Microsoft. Those companies considered Two Pipes, Double Dipping, Exclusive Dealing, Network Optimization, and Quality of Service, as action that might make threaten the neutrality of net. This obbservation was presented by Google. However, this bill was rejected.

Recent Computer News

This month, one of the most popular TV station in Japan, TBS, and Google Earth have started new project.

As Mr.Poza introduced us in this class before, I think many people know and use it. The Google Earth is free software which is offered by Google that is able to travel to and see everywhere in the world through satellite photographs. And TBS’s popular program, The World Heritage (Sekai Isan) which is broadcast at 23:30-24:00 every Sunday and introduce a lot of heritage in the world offered many photographs to Google Earth. Therefore, now we can see more and more interesting, useful pictures than ever. Moreover, the program is cooperating with Wikipedia and other programs. By the grace of these, we are able to get much helpful information from Google Earth.

sorry, but links are in Japanese...

3 good web sites

Today, Internet is very popular and most people use it. I think many of them use internet for researching. I also use it to call my friend with Skype. However, I mostly use it for researching too. When I research something, as everybody use, Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) is very useful. There are a lot of valuable, particular information and sources or links which help us more understandable. Another good web sites is also popular, is You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/index). This web site has a lot of movies. In this site, I like watching music videos and something funny short movies. I use this web site mostly for entertainment. However this site helps about study too. The other day, in the Knowing class, we watched video of Martin Luther King Jr. In the class, I could not listen and understand his speech well, so I searched his speech in it, and I watched the movie. It helps me to understand the speech. As this, You Tube is useful not only for entertainment but also study. Another good site is Lyrics Search Engine (http://lyrics.astraweb.com/). I like music very mush. This site has many lyrics, so it is useful for me. But just for entertain.

Social Engineering

When I heard social engineering first time, I thought it was one of the wisdom. However, I did not know what it means in computer terms, so I researched it in Internet. Social Engineering is one of the ways which hacker and cracker use. They gather system information, account, password, network address, and etc. which are required to make illegal access. They collect those information without using technical resources from original or participant. Some hacker and cracker pretend to be manager of system or executive and draw information from original or participant. Others search trash cans to get important information. They gather them by these kinds not technical ways. Our personal information is in danger. Those information might steal by foul deed at anywhere. Nobody ask us our private information. Do not tell anybody your private information.

What do you know about the Mac (Apple computers)?

I have never used Apple computers, but I learned little about it the other day from our homepage. First, I thought there is no big difference between Apple computers and Windows computers except Mac’s stylish and cute designs. However, there are some big differences. They have different operating systems (OS). I used to think that Apple computers are more difficult to use them, and only professional computer users are using Mac. But according to our text, they are less difficult than Windows. Moreover Mac computers’ security systems are much more powerful and secure than Windows, and right now, there is no viruses that can hurt the Mac computers. Therefore, we do not have to get anti-virus program for Mac computers. That was very surprising to me!! In spite of Mac computers’ very good functions, there are few people use them. I wonder why most people use Windows computer.

What I want to learn about computers

In "Introduction to Computers" class, I would like to learn about how to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint more specifically and practically, because these things are required in many situations such as school assignments and job. Now, I mostly use computers to research something in internet, and write essays or summaries with Microsoft Word. I am very poor at using this kind of high tech machines like computers, so sometimes I get troubles while I use them and I do not know how to solve the problems. Therefore, I would like to know more about computers. If I could use it more skillfully, I would like to learn more sophisticated directions (just for me…lol) such as edit music or pictures which took by digital camera.
